Chakra Meditation, or Chakra Healing aims at looking inwards as distinct from looking outwards and looking at surroundings as we do most of the time. Looking outwards often makes us forget what we are and what we are capable of. Meditation leads to our becoming aware of our potential and capabilities or in short achieving self realization. Meditation also gives the opportunity to sift, analyze and evaluate what we learn from our experiences in everyday life, thus making it possible to assimilate the correct knowledge and discard the incorrect. Moreover, chakra meditation, or also called Chakra Balancing, reduces tensions and promotes physical and mental relaxation.

*Centering Technique. This technique prepares you to receive rewards of Chakra Meditation. Just take half a dozen deep breathes and feel the existence of each part of your body by tightening and relaxing muscles in each part, while at the same time visualizing the hand of a potter centering a pot on the potter’s wheel.
*Relaxation Technique. The main part of Chakra Meditation is the Relaxation Technique. Different people have different ways of distressing, so find a way of relaxing which suits you the best and adhere to it. Here is one of the most common methods of performing Chakra Meditation.
*Sit or lie down comfortably.
*Every stress-causing factor should be addressed and effort should be made to reduce or eliminate the stress as far as possible. Start with loosening the clothing you are wearing. Identify other similar straining factors and eliminate them. And finally, close your eyes.
*Take relaxing breaths – neither too fast nor too slow. Just give up your control on the breath, and let it flow naturally.
*Become aware of each organ of your body from foot to the head. Feel the aura around you as well as your clothes. With your eyes shut visualize everything that you would have seen had your eyes been open. Visualize life in darkness!
*You may experience a wave of thoughts, fears, and every kind of emotion during this process. Don’t avoid them! This represents the release of stress-related thoughts. With practice and regular exercise, these negative emotions and feelings will disappear.
*Do not resist your awareness of any part of your body or things around you.
Do this exercise for any length of time and at any time of the day!
